Fall   (October 16, 2009)

Another season is behind us. With the magnificent fall colours in the gardens giving way to the first hard frost that dusted the property this morning, the gardens retain their special beauty.

For our crew, autumn is synonymous with work. The gardeners are working frantically to prepare the gardens for winter. The perennials have been cut back, the annuals have been composted, winter protection is being installed and preparations for next year begin with the selection of seeds and the planting of cuttings in the greenhouses. All of this has to be done before the first snows appear, which cannot be too far off.

In anticipation of our opening next summer (June 5 to October 3, 2010), I encourage you to enjoy the gardens by paying you a virtual visit periodically over the coming months.

Follow our glog (garden log) where we will keep you informed of our news and projects.
