Gardens | The Gardens | Bird Garden
With the help of La Fondation de la Faune du Québec, the area adjacent to the pond has been transformed into a garden built expressly to attract birds and to allow visitors to observe them. A selection of perennials and grasses are placed around a naturalistic bird-bath that is sculpted out of the trunk of a dead spruce tree. The popularity of the garden is evident morning, noon and night, when birds of all kinds are to be seen feeding, preening themselves or flitting from the cedar trees to the pond and back. The garden is also popular with squirrels, who ensure that nothing goes to waste.
