Aranda/Lasch Benjamin Aranda, Chris Lasch
Benjamin Aranda and Chris Lasch are co-founders of Aranda/Lasch, an architectural practice and research studio based in New York City, whose work involves conducting experiments on urban, media, and mathematical phenomena. They were finalists for the Mountain Hut competition hosted by the US Park Service and won first place for their project for the Las Vegas Gateway. They have published projects in Else/Where: Mapping (forthcoming) and in the journal Log. A book on their architectural work, Pamphlet Architecture no. 27: Tooling, is forthcoming. Their video work, produced under the production company terraswarm, has been shown at media and film festivals internationally and won a new voices award at digifest 2003 in Toronto. Both Aranda and Lasch have taught in the United States and in Europe.
